"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

I am lieutenant colonel B.J.T of the NATO Allied Command Operations, Kandahar Airbase Afghanistan.

Three months ago, Some Generals and I decided to sell out some of the used and outdated military radar and communication equipments to a third World African Countries that would otherwise have been thrown away. We realized the sum of 26M Euros.

Due to the military code of conduct for serving officers in the new command structure, we are not be able to receive this payment in our names. I hereby solicit your assistance as a trustee to receive the payment and save it for us till our disengagement date of 10/12/2011.

If you can help us, email me airbornef16@rediffmail.com and I will give you my full name and every other detail you need to know. If you can not, disregard and delete this email.
