Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Subject: Regardingt your business with Kalu Mike
Dear Madam,
My name is Fisher Brown and I am the Attorney to Dr. Kalu Mike. It is my
believe that I have emailed you before regarding this transaction. I do also
believe that I asked you to refer all questions to me. I did also tell you
that I would require your details to enable me obtain the neccessary
documents required to complete the transaction.
Regretably, to date you have not bothered to respond to me on any of the
above subject matters. At the risk of sounding rude, I'd like to ask if you
wish to do this business with the good doctor or shall we continue with the
song and dance?
I am pretty certain that you are a fairly busy person with very little time
to waste, well, the same applies to me. It would be unfortunate if we both
waste our times. If you wish to continue with this, I implore you to send me
the details I requested to wit, your full names and address, your religion
and age, the company name that would be used, as well the bank account where
the funds would be transfered to.
I am also inclined to advise that, should you find that you cannot continue,
it would be best you say so and let's get on with it. The doctor has told me
about your bird flying incidents, you are lucky, you are in tune with nature
and I envy you that, however, birds flying around is not my forte nor is it
that of the doctor's so we would not be in a position to advice you as to
the meaning of that. I strongly suggest that the next time another bird flys
into your house, you get a net and catch it otherwise, lock your windows.
While I wait for your response, I remain, with very kind regards,
Fisher Brown (Esq)
Attorney at Law
