"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Ms. Ptronilla,

I Have contacted the lawyer with all your detailed information. I wish to
let you know that the British High Court will be issuing the document to you
tommorow through the lawyer which I have consulted to solicit on yur behalf.
Possibly tommorrow the lawyer will contact and furnish you with detailed
information regarding the transfer and will also send the procured documents
to your tommorow. Sequel to the email you wrote, the documents will be sent
to you through emai scan. sending such vital information through post is not
safe for me ,cos I know I cant risk my reputations here in my country.

The documents will be brought to you later when I am come to your
country.The lawyer for I sure I know will be contacting you tommorw, I will
hope you adhere to his instruction and advice. I will be very busy at work
tommorw, Please remeber I have your trust in this transaction and your
assureance to keep the deposit safe when it gets to your account.
